Run for your Life - well, for a Better One

May 19th, 2008 by admin

Have you been feeling tired lately? Have you experienced problems on getting out of bed at mornings? Do you feel like you are not using a hundred percent of your potential? Well, here is one word for you: run. It has been demonstrated that people who take a fifteen minutes run every day live better and have a lot more energy than people who don’t!

Running helps in cleansing your blood of harmful toxins, it improves the capacity and efficiency or your lungs, helps in keeping your heart working adequately, burns excess of body fat and reduces stress. Besides, it’s fun! Our body is a temple, and it should be treated as sacred. Running a bit every day stimulates the circulatory system, helps you strengthen your muscles and enhances the overall effectiveness of that perfect machine called human body.

Of course, not many people like to go for an early run. Some people would prefer to do it in the afternoon. Is that your case? No problem! Just put on your snickers, get your walkman and headphones ready and enjoy a nice ten minutes run just before dinner.

Many doctors recommend taking a daily short run as an ideal activity to complement a diet. Besides, running lets you exercise without spending money on a gym.

Not comfortable with the idea of running? Ok, go take a walk, then. Walking can be as beneficial to your health as running. In fact, walking is specially recommended for people with heart problems. Just take your dog out for a half-hour walk to the park. Or maybe you can get to work on foot instead of using your car.

Another way to get a great exercise is to always take the stairs. Of course, if you work on a tenth floor, you will be exhausted when you get there, so take it easy at first. For instance, come out of the elevator two or three floors before the floor where you need to go, and complete your journey using the stairs. When you get used to it, you can try walking up more and more floors every week, until you eventually are fully capable of not using the elevator at all, and yet not getting tired.

It’s amazing how simple things like these can really improve your life. Just a little “leg action” every day and you’ll get rid of those nasty toxins that make you feel tired even though you get a long nice sleep at night.

Walking, jogging, running and every other exercising is like tuning your body up. And, just like a car, if your body is perfectly tuned it will last longer and always work perfectly.
